It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World

I first saw this movie on television when I was a kid and it has remained a favorite. I watch it about every 2 years and it never loses its charm. It’s on my top favorites list not because it impacts me intellectually or emotionally but it has made me laugh till I cried and never fails in that regard.
Hollywood recently dusted it off and gave it a few tributes as it reached its 50th anniversary of release but for years it seemed as though it were destined to remain a forgotten gem except by a dedicated few. A glorious cast ... Stanley Kramer’s direction ... great scriptwriting ... it’s a classic!
