Here in the US we are having the coldest spell in over 20 years. I see the UK is also having some strong winds and flooding as the worst storms in two decades continue.

Here the winds are howling and temps are to drop below 1F, and that is without the wind chill.

Fargo, North Dakota high today was a -20F! Frost bite happens on exposed skin within 15 minutes!

Now that is COLD!

Who can boast of warm, sunny temps?!

So what is the weather like with you?

WARM!! :)

I don't mind the cold as I dress according with many layers. Especially when going to work at the Dog Park. The park is up on a high hill and the winds there are devastating!

I have found that when the temps get into the high 30's or more it feels like Spring! Yet I do miss the warmth of Summer.

Glad your day was pleasant! Send some my way :-6

Off to walk my dog, Zeus...currently 13F with a wind chill to -16F!

He will love it!!!!

The wind howled all night and is supposed to be gusty all day today with a high temperature of 18F. The wind chill will be around -8F so they say ... brrrr! I know most of the northern part of the country has it much worse.

It'll be 70 degrees today

night lows are @ 45 degrees.

It'll reach 70 degrees @ 2:00'clock today and it's a warm spring day.

I was in Minnesota in December - I've never experienced such a cold and never will experience that again.:wah:

It's about 10 - 12ºC over here. Guess that woulde be 50 - 53 ºF ??

Bit worried about the birds and other wild life. They are starting to go in to "spring" mode. It happend last year, we didn't get a winter till february and the poor birds had started laying eggs etc. I believe yesterday was the warmest 6th of january ever in the Netherlands!!

I'm sure our winter will come, just very late... again..

Good luck to everyone battling the extremes at the moment!!

We had -6 F for a low yesterday morning, and today we will see a high of 50 something.

All the snow will be melting , making driving around very sloppy. Then tonight's low will be back to around 20 F freezing all the melt.

Make the morning commute tomorrow VEERY exciting.

Well our mild temps didn't hold out for long....just long enuf to make the Dog Park a real muddy mess.

But now as I write there is about 8" of snow on the ground, wind gusts up to 30 MPH and single digit temps! Back to the Polar Vortex for a few days with highs in the low 20F.

Anybody having any warm weather out there?

We have had highs in the 60s for a few days. Some of our shrubs decided Spring is coming and started to bud. Now the cold is coming back tonight, for a day or two.

Fortunately, the fruit trees have not been fooled, yet.

We woke up early this morning to temperatures reading -22ºF with just a trace of new snow on the ground. Right now, temperatures are holding at -5ºF. I don't think it will get much warmer today.
