Are You an Average Web Surfer?

According to statistics the average Web surfer spends 13 hours a week on the Internet. This is like just under 2 hours a day.
I have to admit that when the Internet was first unleashed upon us, I probably spent maybe 3 to 4 hours a day in front of my monitor.
However as the novelty wore off and after Facebook and Twitter had decimated Social & General Forums, I like many others slowly but surely stopped joining every other Forum.
I did learn quite a bit about life during this time. I discovered for instance that almost without exception each and every Forum has practically the same set of earthlings among its members.
1] There is the clique … usually made up of men and women more often than not from the same country. Members of the clique often converse with each other using a phraseology which is unique to their part of the world. They fight among themselves but band together when a member from another part of the world criticize their country.
2] The correspondents … he or she seldom has a creative thought but still becomes a top poster by constantly posting links to newspapers and other news sources.
3] The peacemakers … usually a lady but sometimes a man who never ever says anything nasty about another member and often tries to pour oil on troubled waters. Earthlings like this are rare and should be treated like immortals.
4] The bats … these flit in and out of threads like homeless bats usually making harmless and often meaningless posts and seldom if ever post a thread of their own.
5] The professors … they use words that most members have never heard before and never ever use smilies.
6] The preachers … who copy and paste pages of mostly boring stuff from religious texts. They receive a few views but seldom if ever get a reply.
7] The seekers of answers … they ask for advice or simply end every thread with a question mark.
8] The haters … also known as the “unforgiving.” These earthlings criticise, condemn & complain and once they have identified a member who even years ago made a mistake or an error in judgement, continually remind all and sundry that the member in question has not paid sufficiently and must be punished for ever more. They are also referred to as “beamers” … as in: “Why do you look at the splinter in your brother’s eye and not notice the beam which is in your own eye?”
9] The Dark Force … an evil group usually made up of earthlings with an inferior complex who are jealous of any member whose threads receive multiple views. Their jealousy often manifests itself in the form of sarcasm, snide remarks and attempts to get other members banned.
10] The Members of Forum Garden, whom I hope do not belong in any of the above categories …
