I wonder how he knows what the bombers are thinking...

I listened to Radio 4's news interview on Saturday with Boston's police chief, police commissioner Ed Davis, and I heard him deliberately and with forethought tell what can only be a lie. I challenge the man to produce the evidence he claims to have personally seen. Next week, next year, next decade, whenever it's no longer relevant to any enquiry is fine. I don't believe he can, I don't believe for one moment that it exists or that it could exist.

I watched this young man put a satchel on the ground that blew up and killed an eight-year-old boy, and a young woman standing next to him.

I think he has a point although it may not be that accurate when applied to this specific case. US foreign policy does make enemies, accept that and don't go getting all emotional or you'll miss what's important.

Regardless, can we stick to topic here? ie Red Ken shouting his gob off again and blaming America for the bombing. I fail to see what your ' challenge ' has to do with the topic of Ken's views on US Foreign policy.

Red Ken's entirely correct in saying the Boston outrage is a consequence of American policy. Look through the photos at Boston Bombing: The Official Story Proves Dzhokhar Is Innocent – a Photo Essay | American Everyman and consider the likelihood that the chap in custody was anything but a lined-up patsy. And yet Police commissioner Ed Davis claims to have seen video showing what the photos say didn't happen.

The FBI's confiscating as much photographic evidence as it can trace, not for the first time. The trouble with using a venue like the Boston Marathon is that there's too much of it which has already been posted online for the official story to be accepted when it can be shown to be untrue. It wasn't a well considered place to commit an outrage.

So what you are actually saying Is, that It's either a conspiracy or the FBI have deliberately targeted Innocent men ?

Does seem to have his own views on the matter.

Asked about what drove the Tsarnaev brothers to commit such acts of violence, Mr Davis drew comparisons with Boston's inner-city gangs, who he described as similarly "disaffected" young men drawn into violence. But he stressed that no attempts to understand the bombers' backgrounds and motivations could excuse what they had done.


Also it's fairly clear from the context that he watched them place the bomb on some of the camera shots he obtained.

Within ten minutes of establishing a command post I had ordered video from the various establishments and city cameras in that area," Mr Davis said. He added: "That played an important in the timely identification of these individuals."


No doubt the evidence will be produced in court during the trial.

Red Ken is wrong on this one I think. What has the US to do with what is happening in Chechnya. It's a mistake perhaps to look for a a rational motive.

I haven't a clue and I wouldn't speculate. Either the US federal agencies are obeying their political masters within a legal though secret framework or they're rogue, there's no way of distinguishing one from the other. Either way, the US is presently a police state and I see no likelihood of it escaping from that condition in the foreseeable future.

The crowd at the Boston Marathon was thick with chaps with military special services written all over them, radios in ears and rucksacks on backs. There's a photo of a pair of them at Something's Rotten in Boston: Who's Investigating the FBI Investigators?: and several more, in better detail, of the two of them are on Do These Pictures Show Boston Bomber?

You're meant to look at the photos and consider the arguments before you respond. I say Boston's police chief, police commissioner Ed Davis, is a liar and if those two brothers are indeed patsies then he's guilty of lying.

And the point would be? from the Police chiefs statements, all i can see Is that he wished America was as closely monitored as the UK with CCTV... Are you saying this was all put In place just to get a few camera's on the streets?

If you're asking me what motivates megalomaniac Empire-builders I'd guess it's greed and fear in equal measure. If you're asking me why Boston's police chief, police commissioner Ed Davis, is a liar I'd guess it's because he thinks it's a requirement of his job, along with patriotism and saluting the flag.

You have made an accusation that Ed Davis Is a liar. The onus Is on you to prove he Is, not for him to prove he Is not. Let's face It, If you had any evidence, you'd be In Boston right now getting 6 star treatment helping the authorities present a case. You are not.

Maybe you disbelieve the testimony the chap offers - around 4:00, that material was deleted from his camera by law enforcement officers who came to his home. If he's being truthful you might ask why they'd delete rather than take the evidence back to assist the investigation.

What would be the point ?

The Marathon was live on TV. How many people taped the footage. How many mobile phones and camera's recorded the event at the finishing line. How exactly do you propose the FBI confiscates every single tape, phone and camera? Why just that one>

Yes, he obviously "misspoke". There are pictures of the younger brother standing in close proximity with a backpack. I have seen a photo of the backpack on its own, & then you do see the younger brother away from the scene without it, but there is none of him actually placing it there, as far as I know. I really don't know what your beef is. He's a liar? He's a cop, right? The younger isn't claiming innocence, so really, what's your problem? He's no patsy, he's the real deal. No one is framing him.

Patsy's are not armed to the hilt. They don't open fire and kill police officers when cornered. They don't run over and kill their own brother to get away from cops and they don't put a gun In their mouth and fire as the cops close In. They certainly don't confess In hospital stating ' My brother made me do It'
