We are a queer lot In horse racing.

We like hero's, an equine that the nation can take to their hearts and we like under-dogs.

Lat week, despite thousands of people losing their money, the biggest cheers still went up when a rank outsider beat the big guns to win The Grand National.

Only one horse has ever managed to pull off winning The Scottish Grand National just two weeks after winning the Grand National.... that Incredible feat was Red Rum In 1974.

This year all eyes are on Auroras Encore . Can he do a Rummy ?

It's a big ask. Carrying top weight. My money won't be on him but I'll be cheering him all the way.

We need new hero's.

Just placed my bets....

It's a huge ask for any horse completing the Grand National course ( only 17 of the 40 actually finished this year ) to win the Scottish Grand National just 2 weeks later so I am ruling out those who completed the course.

My money Is on Always Right with a couple of cheeky each way punts on Tour Des Champs and Silver By Nature.

I was actually tipped the winner by a racing pal a few days ago but then If I backed every horse I get tipped, I'd be broke....

A place payout for me on Tour Des Champs at 33/1
