LUCKNOW, India: A young man chopped off his wife's breasts and genitals with a kitchen knife in northern India over her "blatant infidelity and drinking", police said today.

The 27-year-old man said his husband of 10 years had brought men home to Lucknow in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh yesterday, police said.

"I wanted to teach her a lesson for her blatant infidelity and drinking," Reshma Ahmed, a father of four, said in her confession to police.

"She was fast asleep when I thought to myself that enough was enough ... so I tied her hands and feet and got a kitchen knife to chop off her breasts and genital to bring an end to her lust once and for all."

A team of doctors at a local hospital reattached her breasts.

I think i proved my point. Domestic Violence is unaccpetable. Hyprocrites. How would you feel if a woman did that to your son or brother?I think I'm gonna barf! This couple should have seen Dr. Phil long ago. I couldn't do that to an enemy! Let alone a spouse! Women have little rights if any in many parts of India.

This is precisely my point. If it happens to a man people laugh and make jokes, if it happens to a woman it is gross and than man who did it should be jailed for life.

No Domestic Violence for any gender.

Yes, this is gross. I say this as a man. But I must admit to smirking when old Bobby McKennitt or whatever his name was got `em chopped off (though at the same time it did bring an involuntary tear to my eye!)

Okay. Since I have it in my profile that Lorena Bobbit is my hero and made a recent post saying "she did what every woman has wanted to do at one time or another", I think Kelly may be talking to me here. I agree with you on 2 things. Domestic violence is domestic violence no matter what the gender, and yes, it would upset me terribly if it were done to my son or brother. Perhaps I made light of it because it's quite an unique situation. It worked out in John Bobbit's favor. He went on to become a porn star and then a preacher. No offense meant.

Kelly was making the point that the original report was about a woman doing it to a man in India and that it was regarded as Yay, go woman, you show him. Kelly reversed the gender to show that if it were a man doing it to a woman people would be rightly repulsed.

The couple had been married for ten years and has long since been undergoing a crisis. According to the woman the cause was her husband's behaviour. It seems in fact that the man was a heavy drinker and was continuously frequenting other women, very often prostitutes. Reshma Ahmed, a mother of four, said that she had repeatedly tried to convince her husband to stop drinking and womanising

Several days ago the man had come home drunk along with a prostitute ignoring the presence of his wife. "In that moment I realised that too much was too much and I decided that I had to do something. So as soon as he fell asleep I tied his hands so he could not stop me, went to the kitchen, took a big knife and chopped off his penis in order to put an end to his lechery once and for all," Reshma Ahmed said.

The man was taken to the nearest hospital and a team of doctors reattached his penis. But specialists said that some time will be necessary until it will be clear if he will be able to be sexually active again.

You're kidding, surely. The original poster says exactly what I said - "This is precisely my point. What you're forgetting is that the day she posted this, three years ago, it was major news and most people reading the thread knew the context in which she'd switched the gender, there wasn't anything underhand or manipulative about it. It's mirror-speak. It's very effective if you switch "US" for "terrorist" in a Bush speech, for example, but that's not manipulative either, that's a demonstration of how vague and generic the man is with his patriotic knee-jerking. Would you like a sample?
