I am shocked by how many people are happy about the fact that so many thousands of rich people became homeless and penniless because of the merciless destruction caused by Hurricane Sandy. It is disgusting to read the editorials and see the comments all over the internet about how the rich and powerful have fallen. I shake my head as I read how there's absolutely no chance of them recovering in this dismal economy. There's no benefit to 20,000 new homeless families on the street. There's no chance of any bank giving them a loan and even less of a chance of them ever recovering. Can anyone explain why their permanent poverty causes so much GLEE?

Somehow, I doubt very many rich folk were rendered homeless by Sandy.
