He's beautiful. Looks like he's got a blue eye or is that a reflection?

Extremely cute, like all mammal babies. We are made that way so our parents don't eat us.

Left... Pinto... right .....Piebald
Pinto is the generic term for a horse with white markings on the body. All Paint horses are pinto, but not all pintos are Paints.
Piebald Is black and white only.
Pinto has more colour patches.
But then I could be talking out of my arsse,
I thought a Pinto here due to brown colour which a Piebald does not have.

Welcome, Clyde! Very cute.
As to the whole color thing, you know years ago *I* was taught that a
Pinto was one color and white, and a Paint was two colors and white.
Live and learn, sure... but now the whole thing has gotten much
more confusing with Tobiano and Overo and all the rest. Oh well,
the horses don't care now do they?

Well, it's really a tad fuzzy. My granddaughter says, simply, Clyde is a Quarter Horse.
All the talk about Paints and Pintos is malarkey, as far as she is concerned.
Neither parent is Paint or Pinto. They are just plain ol' Quarter Horses, she says.
She says that if the color pattern indicates his breed, he must be a cat, because his markings are almost identical to one of the old barn cats hanging around.
Here is an interesting attempt at defining the "breeds"

Correct me If I'm wrong but I believe the Quarter Horse Is the oldest American breed of horse. Pinto's and Paints have orginated from them. It does become very confusing.
Matter not... Clyde Is adorable. :-4:-4:-4

A confession.
Granddaughter had yet to name the foal, so I named him Clyde.
I have now been corrected. Clyde is a girl.
So, Clyde will likely be getting another name, but I guess I'll leave that to the young'un

I thought that pretty head looked a little feminine, but
I couldn't tell gender from the pics!
Welcome, Claudia?
More likely if there's a registration of sire and dam,
it could be an amalgam of those names.
