Facebook changes your email address without telling users | Mail Online

I'm all for It.

I had a forum member a couple of years ago find me and my e mail address care of facebook and the next thing my husband and myself were getting 10 - 20 e mails a day.

In the end I had to close that e mail account.

Maybe thats where all this spam I've been getting comes from. I get 30-40 spam e-mails a day for the last couple of months and before that only got a few a week.

Do you have a trash e mail option Wisey? I have one for ' junk mail' and It's set so that anything that I don't want goes straight to junk mail and not my Inbox.

Yeah it goes to spam but I still look through it to see if something went there by mistake. Sometimes they do from companies I buy from who send out multiple e-mails for specials.

Still, I'm pleased to know you've been getting the porn sites I've been sending you every day since finding your e mail address on facebook.

I was wondering why I never got any more of those annoying notices from FaceBook about my friends wanting me to play mafia wars of Farmville, or whateverville, anymore.

I went back and looked.

Sho nuff, they are all going to xxxxxx@facebook.com.

That's cool. I don't even have to clean them out of my spam folder, anymore.

I've never even slightly understood how anyone can spread themselves to commercial gaze on Facebook. Even if you're set as Private View you're still sold to people who buy information. It's as though people have agreed that, for no payment, they'll spend hours a month keying data which Facebook can then sell. Google's funded from much the same behaviour.

I liked MafiaWars for a while, but it got really complex to keep up with.

There are other online games I like to play and got fed up with all the crap from FaceBook.

What's the old saying? if you're not paying for it, you're not the customer - you're the product that is sold.

Well, they aren't selling much of me. I have not even been on it for a while, except today.

I tried Mafia wars but didn't like it. What online games do you play. I'm always looking.

This is one that is sort of interesting Samurai of Legend

My grandson is trying to talk me into joining him and his friends in something called League of Legends.

I still play around in "Entropia Universe" when I have time.
