I'm taking my first summer off in 19 years, Chonsi. I got matching iPads for my wife and I, so we're enjoying relaxing on the deck while online too! Pretty fun,eh?

I'm puttering around the house. I made a new coffee table that came out really well. Other than that, I'm just checking out the new & innovative ways to use the web-based stuff in my classroom.

Do you use the Khan Academy lessons to augment the classroom? Some of their stuff is interesting, even for adults.

Their math stuff is awesome, but I teach HS social studies. Khan doesn't have a whole lot for me, or didn't when I looked a few months back. I probably should check again. Thanks for the reminder!

Hi everyone,

Hope you all have a wonderful summer with lots of fun and sun:-6

I had to cancel my holidays this summer....

Working a part-time job on the net, and have meetings and homework all summer due to new maths, writing and reading programs.

Luckily, I can work at home, relax in jammies and drink coffee all day:-6

Oh yea...plus do a lot of work on the beach that's only a block away...yeehaa!!!!

Well hello! It's good to see the girls of summer again. :-4 Do take time to enjoy yourselves.

Hubby and I will be going to the Smoky Mountains in a few weeks and we are looking forward to it. We are going to tow our motorcycle up there and ride around the mountains. Something different.:)

I'll be taking a leisurely roam up highway US89. It once ran from Mexico to Canada, but the southern section became Interstate highway, so I'll be starting in Flagstaff, Arizona. It goes through or around 7 National Parks and is near 14 others (including National Monuments). It ends at Glacier National Park at the Canadian border. It should be an interesting trip.

I just bought a townhouse, so my summer will be spent fixing up and decorating my new pad. Then the really fun part: planting a bunch of flowers!!!

I hope everyone has a fun, safe summer!

Hi Chonsi, it's been a while, enjoy your summer to the fullest, you've earned it! Eat, drink, & be merry, & not necessarily in that order.

Actually for me, I basically have summer all year long now that I no longer have to work. Well, not work at a job that is, but I do lots of projects (work) around the villa's here in NE, & as well in FL. Always many things to do in both places.

Hi Kathy! Sounds like a busy summer for you. I have to work two weeks of summer school, it is kind of us older ladies helping each other out, two have some family issues and need to be out.

No surfing, I was afraid of using the knee if I had to bend down too low. But then I was just plain bad anyway, and went to the gym every day-and twice to their TKD lessons! I could spin again! Oh, that was fun-and all the beach barbell guys actually got up and gave me a wide berth when I finished and went back to the locker room, I was really laughing inside. But I do not think I could do it again like I used to, 2-3 times a week.

Cars-life sounds good for you! And AC, enjoy the time off, summer is so short and school will be here fast. Everyone sounds like they have great plans!
