Home Owners Across the Nation Sue All Bank Servicers and Their Offshore Havens; Spire Law Officially Announces Filing of Landmark Lawsuit - MarketWatch

I hope this endeavor is successful and if justice is found deserving that it in fact be meted out in accordance with the law.

I wouldn't pin my hopes on this, it looks like a republican election year canard baked up to create mistrust of the administration. While I won't vote for Obama again because he's back tracked on nearly every position he held as candidate Obama he is a legal scholar and would have be an all out ignoramus if this were true.

I suppose it's possible Daly and company might have tried some crap behind Obama's back, but I figure it's pretty unlikely he got away with much. Unlike Bush, Obama can, and, I think, does read what he puts his signature to.

Good points but it wouldn't surprise me if there's something shifty going on regardless of how high in command. Eventually it will rise to the surface if it's there. It'll be interesting to see if anything comes of it or if it was all just noise.

My impression from reading and talking to people is that the problem with the banks is they're simply so big and bureaucratic that the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.

For example. my daughter's friend's home is currently in 1) short sale; 2) deed in lieu; 3) being considered for the federal assistance program 4) in foreclosure all at once - Wells Fargo being the bank. When he calls the bank each department is working independently and has no idea what the other departments are doing. It's comical. It's anyones guess what the outcome will be.

Best thing for people to do if they can is refinance to either a local bank or a credit union. PennFed Credit Union currently has great rates, they're financially solid and well managed.

I am thinking this is some sort of dodge.

The press release was sent out to marketwatch by the law firm.

A google search of the law firm returns little other than copies of the same press release in various web sites.

There is even a document claiming to be the petition filed with New York Supreme Court, County of Kings (though the document title says New York County)

http://www.msfraud.org/law/lounge/Abeel ... s_4-12.pdf

No search of the Surpeme Court documents and cases shows up for the index number, Plaintif name, Lawyer name, or anything useful.

http://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/webcivil/FCASMain

Perhaps, the doc was filed, but case has not posted, yet. However, I found cases that had been opened just yesterday.

Oh, and according to the document, it seems most of the bad stuff happened between 2003 and 2007.

Don't see how we can blame Obama for that.

Too bad the news media eats this trash up like they do.

Spire Law Group is the new name for Mitchell J. Stein & Asses :)

Mitchell J. Stein & Associates LLP - Home

I'd read of him before.

The guy is a scam artist.

Well, well, well. I had thought I'd heard the name before.

There goes the last thread of trust I had in WSJ as a reliable source.

WSJ is now owned by Rupert Murdoch, isn't it? That pretty much says it all.
