I didn't ask in a negative way, just when bad things happen to the rich and famous it gives the best boost to the cause, which is a shame.

It is one thing to support something when you are not suffering from it, it's another to suffer illness in full view of the public eye. There's a lot more support but also a lot more stress which, is not good for recovery

Breast cancer affects so many women - I believe the statistic is 1 in 5 will get it. I had it and it is because of the awareness programs that I am alive today. Early detection and aggressive treatment are the keys to survival. I don't care who jumps on the bandwagon for whatever reason. And for all you women out there - I was the first person to have cancer, of any kind, in my family. It was a real eye opener for me. I met some of the most wonderful warrior women in chemo. Chemo is the most exhausting experience I've had in my life and I admire anyone who can get through it. Breast cancer and lymphoma were the most prevelent cancers at the cancer center. The other aspect of breat cancer is the mastectomy which really affected my sense of self. Luckily there are great plastic surgeons who do wonders in reconstruction. I am amazed that what took the cancer surgeon 2.5 hours to cut off, took the plastic surgeon 6 months and 3 operations to reconstruct.

anastacia came through it good and im sure kylie will too, shame shes had to cancel her tour in her home country though....

Let`s hope Kylie pulls through okay, and raises the profile of and amounts collected to help Breast Cancer. And while we`re at it, don`t forget men and prostate cancer, which my dad had.
