It's not the greatest invention in the world, I'll give credit for that to electricity, but my favorite invention has to be air conditioning. Where you live in the world will most certainly affect your appreciation for it!

oops! Yes, missed farming. Mea culpa.
I've certainly heard the argument that beer is responsible for human civilisation, on the grounds that people might get together for trade, but only a regular supply of alcohol will keep them together. My viewing of Westerns seems to support this - after all, towns seems to consist of a Saloon (and brothel), an Undertaker, and (sometimes) a Church.
Drink, shag, pray, die - it's all covered. teehee.

For crying out loud...why do you hound his threads so? Was this another attempt to be humorous?
JJ is a very good soul. He is overly charming but that is him; what is wrong with that? I reckon you just don't understand it or are envious of it as I am sure the ladies luv it.
You must have no appreciation for the history and the beauty they left behind. Some appreciate that beauty more then others. JJ is a man who appreciates the artists and admires the works they left behind, he luvs the women of that era, he is a romantic, he is a man of men and and I can vouch for that.
Enuf about this....
So back to the thread....

I agree with many of You~~~
electricity was a biggie
farming is good but I don't know if I would call that an invention:-2
medicine and medical supplies is another good one.
What about fire?
And the telephone?
I would much rather talk with someone then email them. So much more personable.
And the Pen and Ink! NOW that was a great invention as it started communications before anything else and led to families and people sharing about their lives...and it was conveyed with the pony express..what a wonderful idea carried out by many brave men to delivery the 'mail.'
How about TV?
The automobile?
Here you go....my thoughts on great inventions....
