Mobile Problem

Is a mobile phone an Electronic Gadget ?

Now here is a strange one I need to share, if only for amusements sake, and help if anyone can.
My wife has a Samsung Galaxy S......or something, since about 4.30 pm today she has been receiving the same text message repeatedly, totaling over 450 up to now.......haven't checked in the past hour though. I can hear it keep repeating the text received tone as I type.
A search on several engines has given no definitive solutions, only suggestions.
The problem appears to be common if the weight of queries is anything to go by.
I shall have to go all out tomorrow with as many suggestions as it takes to solve it.
