Once upon a time when I was still an Internet virgin, I joined a Social Forum. I had the audacity to take over a thread that had been posted by another member. The kindest thing she did to me was to call me "psychotically disturbed!"

I posted my photo on another forum and I'm getting a ration of **** from one of the members that insists I'm a sad, lonely old hag that has no friends because I took the photo in a mirror. The old hag part might be right but I don't know how he came up with the rest based solely on a single photo.

My point is... what's with all the mirror comments lately? I'm getting a little self conscious now.

Yours was not the only reply to this thread so don't be so self-conscious Snooze, and do not obsess over what you perceive as your shortcomings. Actually I like you because you have in the past had the chutzpah to stand up for me.

BooBoo has been away in Phoenix tending to her ill sister and has only just arrived back in Maryland, so my support base here has been very thin of late. For that reason I have been posting in my journal lately where I have been recharging my battery.

Yes, times have changed here in the Forum. When i first joined so many years ago there was always a rant or a rave going on. Some of it was fun some so not. If I didn't like it at the time I just backed off and when somewhere else. I suppose a lot of your more challinging members have found other spots to stir up trouble.

Yes Snoozie I know that. I unfortunaly have only been here sporatic in the last two years as my husband suffered from cancer and passed May 5,2011. It has been so long I had to get a new password. Missed all of you even tho I'm not a big responder. Maybe I can join in more now that my life has slowed down a great deal.

It is rude an immature in a Social Forum for someone to step over your thread by name calling and ignorance. Those who seek you out for pretended injustice are not worthy of your time, dust them as you would wipe your shoes on the mat Baby.

I started hanging out on forums in -96 and there has really been a lot of changes since then.

I wonder if we are at a time when internet is such a big part of everyday life that the social rules applies here as well?

But there will always be trolls and other people just in it for the rant
