What kind of propagandist liar transmutes 15 cents into 15%, that's what I want to know, it's beyond the bounds of simple innumeracy. The thread also fails to mention that the fixed-cost surcharge has been postponed indefinitely, just to add weight to the propagandist aspect.
Why did I look? Because common sense saw the thread title, winced at yet another mis-apostrophised plural and shouted "rubbish!" at the alleged fact.
And no, oscar, not even the excuse of "I saw it on the web so I thought it was true" works on that percent sign. On a thirty dollar tree it's a half of one percent.

Stop it spot, you know she's a daily mail reader and can't help it. The republicans should approve though, it's looks like a flat rate so the size of your christmas tree doesn't matter and the really rich will share out some of the branches on theirs thus helping the christmas economy/ sorry spirit.

15 cents is 15% of one dollar and it's not as though it's on a daily or weekly expense: those who buy fresh-cut Christmas Trees from commercial outlets usually limit themselves to one a year. A 15% tax on one dollar annually for those daft enough to be wantonly complicit in tree destruction seems pretty minimal to me. Personally I'd have them flogged alongside witless abusers of the apostrophe.

Another thread where the thread starter did no research. Reading more than the headlines is usually a good idea. This was an idea drawn up by a consortium of small farmers in order to promote their Christmas trees. Thanks to the right-wing and people like this thread starter, small businesses have now lost potential revenue because the idea has been scrapped. You all should pat yourselves on the back, Oscar. Good job! Keep protecting those Chinese manufacturers of imitation Christmas Trees.

Why does the administration not have a press conference just to point out the truth of the matter?

It's 15c PER TREE if you sell or prodice more than 500.
Better a cut tree that get recycled than an artificial one made with oil. Besides it's a good pagan tradition that the Christians were never able to stamp out enjoy the irony of the occasion.

Good Heavens above... what venom utters forth?
Yesterday, I started my work day at 8 am having got up at 6 am.
I carried out mostly physical work until 5 pm and I got home at 6 pm.
Then I had to cook, clean and launder along with looking after one very unwell husband.
I made a couple of posts on FG before spending the evening cooking, cleaning and laundering. I also took two of my dogs for a round trip walk of 3 miles In the rain.
I spent the later part of the evening working from home on my laptop for my political party and local Issue's.
I finally sat down with some 'Me' time around midnight when I took my sleep medication.
I wrote my thread In the early hours of the morning In haste before I finally went to bed. However, do not think I look for sympathy... I happen to thoroughly enjoy every minutes of my life with the exception of an unwell husband.
I made a mistake Just as Spot could not spell Jimmy Savile correctly In his thread.
The venom and bile expressed here just about answers Bryn's question as to why members are not posting doesn't It?

Try reading my post Rat Boy. I do not seek sympathy. I enjoy every minute of my life. When I do sit down exhausted at the end of the day, I do it with fulfillment and satisfaction.
The mere fact that you hover as a guest on this forum waiting for the opportunity to climb Inside Spot's rectum shows that you have Issue's and a very unhappy life. For that, I pity you. If your goals In life are only to emulate an embittered old man who fails to research before writing the name of one of England's most famous men In his thread and express's his bile and racism toward your country at every turn along with self Imposed Importance because, Gosh, wow, shock, he writes on a forum, then you need to get your Issue's addressed because trust me, they are apparent In every word you write.

Do you really expect anyone to believe that?
Are you seriously trying to suggest that you heard Jimmy Savile had died and did not google his death before writing your thread without getting any details before hand?
The moment you entered Jimmy Savile Into your search engine, the most recent story would have come up at the top of page one as It did for me when I entered 'Jimmy Savile dead' Into my search engine.

Obsessed with you???????????????? :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl
Let's put this Into perspective shall we as you seem to be having great difficulty here.
Obsession with someone doesn't mean you have them on Ignore for months as I have you.
I have never read the threads you post and only read what you have written when you write on my threads or others that I am Interested In.
In the main, I Ignore your posts and take no Interest In them and do not quote you unless you choose to bandy Insults around,
Now, If you can find some Obsession there, best of luck to you.
Now, for example, my logging onto a racing website every night to get the ground conditions for a race.. Or going to Paul Nicholls twitter page every day to get the low down on runners, that could be classed as an obsession.... but sharing a few posts on a forum???????? If you think that's obsession, you need help quick

If you want accuracy, then I made one post another forum last night, the first In about 5 months and that was only because some members were pondering my absence.
I am still a member of another forum that I enjoy but do not have time to post there these days.
I am sure you limit your posting to one forum Spot because no-one else would tolerate your abusive, racist bile at the USA with every turn.
There was a time when this forum was vibrant In the extreme yet It was you who saw off decent, good members who contributed a great deal here, people I am still In touch with.
The list is endless, Jester, Clancy, Lady Cop, Red Glitter, G Man, to name just a few. Believe It or not Spot ( because you believe the centre of this forum is you ) those members were valuable to this forum. Your problem was simply that they told you what shyte you talked.
If you have such an Issue with me, then I would quite happily close my account. You however centre your life around this forum and use It to prostitute your racist bile against the USA and anyone who doesn't lap your every word which Is merely re-written from google In an attempt to Impress the underlings.
You really need to address your own Inferiority complex which Is what leads you to assume you are the life force of this forum....

Look at the facts Spot... In the past, I joined three other forums. Every now and then, I get an e mail saying that I haven't posted for a while, When you joined one of those forums, members didn't just leave, there was a mass exodus to the point that Mock was resurrected simply for them to all stay together without you. Surely that tells you something? All the members here who have left because of you are written off as stalkers or worse by yourself.
I have said before, If you can not handle the fact that a forum Is about other people with different views than yours, then open a blog account where no-one can argue with you because that's basically all you want, members telling you how wonderful you are.
