An odd pushy self-centred chap, perhaps that's what's needed to whip a company like Apple into continuous productive frenzy. I can't imagine either of us would have liked the other had we ever met.
I quite liked his Apple II, except of course it wasn't his Apple II at all, it was Wozniak's. I've never had much time for anything Apple made since. Except, if I ever touched one, the Ipad would probably interest me, but I'm not likely to.
Anyway. Jobs. Gone. People cheered when he stood on stage. Maybe that made him an actor. Somebody tell me something he did that I might approve of.

He was a visionary sure some of what he developed in the early days was Wozniak's. Since then Apple has been at the forefront of all technology. Spot its funny you mention the IPAD as something that might interest you out of all the APPLE products the IPAD doesn't ring my bell at all. I have worked on many IPADS and keep thinking if it could make calls, and had a few USB ports then it would be of interest to me. I see it as a big IPOD with a few more bells and whistles yes its pretty guess I'm just not a tablet person just don't do enough to suit me.
RIP Mr. Jobs.. I will be purchasing the IPHONE 4S my 3GS has seen better days.

You keep them in a pouch in your pocket? The fingers? From which huge man did you acquire them and what's he using instead?
What you could use is
http://www.aliexpress.com/product-fm/37 ... alers.html - I think I'd have that as an option if I had an Internet-enabled phone.

Keying any smartphone is a pain for me the Blackberry is awful for keying hate the touch and the size of the keys makes me insane. You might like the Iphone 4s it can do everything thing with voice commands pretty slick from what I'm told. I will be getting one when they are available and will look forward to use the voice options.

Our cell bill is finally under $100 (for two) so my husband refuses to buy the IPhone. We dont need another $40 per month tacked on. We are still buying diapers. hee hee. Also, I really want this really cool GPS enabled watch with distance, heart rate monitor, calorie counter and stop watch. Its a little cheaper than the IPhone and I need it for my races and training.
As for your comment spot, "odd pushy old chap", some might say that about you...haha, just kidding.

I finally worked that out, Snooze, but it took a while. The capital letter tells me it's a commercial product. I've no idea what the English use when incontinent but I don't recognize the brand so perhaps - or perhaps not - those only exist in the US. I often go equipped with Pampers these days but, so far at least, only on the behalf of others.
As for old, Mr Jobs' main ambition over the last few years was to catch up with me. I seem to have won. There's no justice.

The full extent of his animosity towards Google's mobile operating system is revealed in a forthcoming authorised biography. Mr Jobs told author Walter Isaacson that he viewed Android's similarity to iOS as "grand theft".
Apple is suing several smartphone makers which use the Android software.
BBC News - Steve Jobs vowed to 'destroy' Android
Does nobody remember that Apple based its entire operating system on the free open source BSD and then barred all Apple's changes to the open source community? And that Google's Android is actually feeding every line of code back into the Linux open source environment, admittedly with a half year delay but even so it's a major development benefit.

Here we are - Richard Stallman getting to the nub of Steve Jobs' "just wanting to eat at the trough without fertilizing the farm". He expresses himself rather better than I do.The important thing about Jobs is what he directed Apple to do to those who are still living: to make general-purpose computers with digital handcuffs more controlling and unjust than ever before. He designed them to refuse even to let users install their own choice of applications — and installing free (freedom-respecting) applications is entirely forbidden. He even tried to make it illegal to install software not approved by Apple.

Britain's Chief Rabbi just kicked the corpse too.“What does a consumer ethic do? It makes you aware all the time of the things you don’t have instead of thanking God for all the things you do have," Lord Sacks said, speaking at the gathering last week.
"If in a consumer society, through all the advertising and subtly seductive approaches to it, you’ve got an iPhone but you haven’t got a fourth generation one, the consumer society is in fact the most efficient mechanism ever devised for the creation and distribution of unhappiness."
