I've surt-uv known for quite a while that I'm suffering from this. I think I tried to ignore it but then I noticed that I used it in one of my posts recently. Enough is surt-uv enough. I'm going to have to take some action as I did with okey-dokey some years ago. Any suggestions?
(I know I'm not alone...I heard an actor say on the Breakfast Show this morning that she surt-uv found her new role challenging.)

I don't know if this falls into your category, but in messages I always ask my friends Scar Non? And I tell them I'll check my Shed Jewel.
My brother uses 'statue', as in I knock on his door and he calls out, "Statue, sis?"

I've tried walking into another room and "naturally" saying Scar Non out aloud. But I still can't get it. I know I shall be mortified when you tell me

I spent 6 months in Mississippi 33 years ago and I still catch myself saying "tarred" when I feel a little drowsy.

Ah, right, thanks...I missed the "message" bit in your post and thought I could work it out by speaking it :wah:

In this evening's Location, Location Kirsty Allsop said surt-uv, closely followed by okey dokey. That lady needs help, even I can see that

In a meeting today with a gentleman who said "like, you see" at least once in every sentence - excruciating.
