The National Hunt Racing world mourns the loss of Ginger McCain.
A name that may mean nothing to you so let me remind you.
Ginger McCain was best known for training the legendary triple Grand National winner 'Red Rum'. 1973, 1974, 1977
Ginger also won the Grand National Real with Amberleigh House in 2004 and retired two years later.
Ginger's son Donald took over the stable from his father in 2006 and followed in his footsteps by training the 2011 Aintree winner Ballabriggs.
He never forgot his beloved Red Rum and visited his grave on the Aintree Turf regually.
