War is a shameful thing. This always happens in wars, it is perpetrated by all participants. Is it right, justifiable? Were the Russian soldiers who raped and pillaged their way across Germany justified in what they did in so many instances? No they were not but after you have tramped and fought across the graves of millions of your fellow citizens it is almost understandable. What would I have done?

Excellent post, Scrat. I've often wondered what atrocities we could all be capable of in certain circumstances.

We're all capable of what might be called an atrocity depending on circumstances.
