I was talking to a bloke about religion and ( and the creeping evangilism into Australia) his friend just sat there listening . When I eventually turned to him and asked what he thought ..he came out with this......"The taller the steeple, the larger the building, it has more chance of collapsing in on it's self and it's parisheners during a natural disaster.......act of God?"
I found that comment to be extremely facinating on many levels.
your thoughts ?

I live in a free country because my ancestors were successful in suppressing the power of church. You live in a free country (I assume you are american) because one of the founding principles was that the church should not be allowed to rule. Is there some point you are trying to make?

But here you are, talking about the right denomination and 'Christmas'. Seems like there's a way to go yet.

You really don't get the use of irony do you. I'm not going to explain it to you as I think I would be wasting my breath. But you are right there is a way to go and we need to be vigilant in keeping it suppressed. The states have a bigger problem I think the fundamentalist are riding roughshod over your liberties at every opportunity it seems.

Oh, how funny. Of course. You didn't mean it.
I'm not going to explain it to you
I know. You can't do miracles. A theist oppressor, banged to rights; and you can't escape.

A bit like you, then.
