We had an incident here at Evergreen State College of something similar with a couple of Sado Machs demonstrating how to do their thing. Did you know long hair can be used to choke your partner? It can be used as a leash too.
Whoda thunk it?
State taxpayers paid for it as Evergreen is state funded.

It seems it actually is (depending on where one's view of acceptability lies) worse at... let me dig up the story... Brigham Young University. And Princeton, apparently. All students agree to abide by the honour code, which reflects Mormon values.
The code includes prohibitions on drinking, smoking, drugs, tea, coffee, swearing and sex, as well as a commitment regularly to attend church [...] In America, honour codes are mostly associated with military academies, but a number of universities, including the University of Virginia and Princeton, also enforce them.

As part of a delivered accredited undergraduate course in a university? I think it's worthy of discussion. Does attendance influence the course result, for example? Was it made clear before undergraduates selected the option they'd be put in that position? What academic benefit did it create?
