I don't see here as being banned and remember she is using a different username now "Erika Kane" that is an active account. I don't see either account as banned so there is some old post being looked at, or confusion on her part as what account to use.

Folks keep asking about that user-name here, but no one seems to care for the notion that she just needed her password reset. Not dramatic enough I suppose.

Maybe someone could ask Spot to change her old user password so that she can sign back on using that name.

Personally, I'd prefer it over trying to remember who she is now. I thought ducks was funny most times.

There are two accounts, both open and usable. If Erica Cane is also qsducks then she can choose to use either account.

I've sent a password reset link to the owner of the qsducks account. If the duck doesn't know which email account qsducks is attached to then she might not be able to find it, in which case she'll need to say so before I can be helpful. If she can see it and click the link then she'll be able to reset the qsducks password and log in as qsducks.

Nobody can have two active accounts here. Except me and Santa, now I think of it. If an account becomes disused and the owner can't log in with it then creating a second account isn't the end of the world. The rule's there to prevent sockpuppets, not to trip people up on technicalities. Is that not how it always was?

I'm delighted to say that I now have a reasonable picture of what this thread's about. No, the duck's not banned, the duck's merely livid that Odie's account has been reinstated and is consequently refusing to post here any more under any account, past present or future.

If anyone else finds themselves in a similar frame of mind, would they please stop wasting my time on such spurious grounds as they want to get back in but can't manage to? Life's too short to prat around like this. Speak up in good time or let it go, I've never been any good at second-guessing the manifold nuances of silence and I don't plan to start trying.

We've had cliques of this and that over the years but it's my opinion that the arrival of the wordgamers brought on the most appalling long-running multi-sided bitchfight in the history of forums and I am absolutely not going to stand in the middle of it any more trying to mollify the participants. The only right action is mutual toleration, the only wrong action is kicking up a stink. If toleration's too much, then walking away is a damn sight better than inflicting yet more years of infantile tantrums on an appalled and embarrassed audience.

I have one other thing to add, while I'm on the subject. Every PM received on this site has a report button at the bottom of it. If anyone gets an unwanted or disagreeable PM then press the report button and we can all get to discuss it. If people prefer to sit and fester and pass it round their friends instead then there's not much I can do to improve their quality of life, is there.

First of all Spot...I did not start this thread. Second of all....I am not a pot stirrer. I saw this thread first and then spoke with Ducky. She couldn't log onto her account, and thought she might be banned. I decided to ask a mod if she was banned, and I asked Carla NOT YOU.

Who the hell I am is the guy who got roped into checking out a defunct account and issuing password resets in good faith to people with ulterior motives and no desire to use the account if it was the last account on earth. It's got to be a year ago since I told ducks she wasn't banned. There was confusion with a duplicate account when ducks couldn't access the ducks account, another account was generated causing the problem of a multiple account, something that is not allowed. There is a lack of communication here between certain people. Ducks can access her Erica account and indeed if she wants could have the ducks account sorted.

Where's the problem exactly?

Thank you Carla. You've done nothing wrong but help me when I asked you a question. You've only been a friend to me. Ducky didn't do anything wrong either. All she did was say that she couldn't log onto her qsducks account, and I wondered why. My reply to Jesse's thread had nothing to do with conspiracy or Odie. I just don't understand how Spot could conjure up this theory. It's ridiculous and a nasty accusation.

I have done this many times and the smilies do not appear for me as they used to before the upgrade. They should be to the right of the writing area, but they are not for me now. I do see the smilies (icons) that can be used for the post title, but not for inside the post.

This is not a crisis, just a small humble problem for this member, AFTR. With tongue-in-cheek, I have been campaigning about this situation in various threads and on spots profile page. (Right here I wouldl insert the wink smilie.)

I have been capably assisted with other FG problems, like insering videos and uploading pictures, I just thought someone could help me with this recent problem.

Do you have the other formatting tools above your reply box? If not...

If I change my general settings to basic editor, I get a simple text box and the post title smilies only. No smilies to the right and none of the regular formatting tools on top of the box. All the regular other options under the box still appear it seems.

Sorry if you've already looked at this possibility. I haven't been following your trials as I figured someone else has hit on it for you already.
