Hey

I'm a newb here, please be gentle...

I recently found this text based RPG, Torn City. Took me a little while to get into it, but now I've been playing for a week it seems absolutely awesome and involved! There seems to be so many layers to it, I discover something new evertime I play.

Just wondered if anyone else played and what you thought of it? Their forum is not a lot of help from what I've seen so far, so if any of you play it'd be really great to hear from you and share your experience...?

I've just been looking at the Torn City Basics site to try and find out what the game is about - the storyline, controls objectives etc.

None of that appears to be mentioned and I still don't know enough to know whether I'd be remotely interested in playing it - I just know that you get a reward after committing five thousand robberies, not my cup of tea.

I dont know what you mean by Torn City Basics? Torn City is simply torn.com (Sorry dont seem to be able to post a link as I'm a newb)?

It's an online role play game where you can pretty much do anything you can do in real life... well not EVERYTHING, there are a few limitations

But the basics are fight others, build your own company or work for someone else to earn money, get marrried-divorced-married again, train your statistics, join or create a warring faction, buy and trade items, race cars, gamble in the casinos, mug, assasinate other players, travel to other countries, get educated, trade on the Torn City stock exchange, buy/sell houses, invest in the Torn City banks, go to hospital, commit crimes and avoid jail, try a break out or bust your friends out of jail...

The list is endless, and always seems to be new updates going on.

It's really cool, once you get into it.
