Nosy socialist Bernie Sanders has once again stuck that nose where corporations and defense contractors would prefer his didn't - right smack dab into their sacred cash cow. Are those damn liberals trying to sabotage the free market system again? JFC!!!

The military paid a total of $285 billion to more than 100 contractors between 2007 and '09, even though those same companies were defrauding taxpayers in the same period, according to a new Defense Department report. And we know this because?The analysis was mandated by a provision that Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) inserted into the defense bill last year. The measure also requested that the Defense Department recommend additional ways to punish the violating contractors, but the Report to Congress on Contractor Fraud concluded, "The department believes that existing remedies with respect to contractor wrongdoing are sufficient." Well, at least there is a little more transparency. Oh, but wait, the public should only be concerned with government, not corporate transparency.

What bothers me the most is the GOP will use these cases of as proving that "the government is inefficient and wasting taxpayer money... " The funny thing is, the government always gets blamed for wasting money, and not the private contractors. I've heard the private contractors desperately want to charge less, but are prevented from doing so because of the "normal wage" laws. If only we could get rid of those laws, then the true unchecked power of honesty from the private contractors would come to light.

We need to get the Pentagon under control. I'm beginning to think they'll do the work of the terrorists for us.
