Puff justice for a lawyer.

Saw this article in the Daily Mirror & it tickled me.
A Lawyer bought a box of 24 rare & expensive cigars, then insured them against fire.
Within a month, having smoked his entire stockpile & without having made his first premium payment on the policy, the lawyer filed a claim against the insurance company.
He said the cigars were lost in a series of small fires.
The firm refused to pay, citing the obvious reason the man had consumed the cigars in the normal way.
The lawyer sued...and WON.
In delivering the ruling, the judge agreed with the company that the claim was frivolous.
He said however, the lawyer "held a policy from the insurance company in which it warranted the cigars were insurable & also guaranteed it would insure them against fire" and was obliged to pay.
Rather than endure an appeal, the firm accepted the ruling and paid $15,000 (£7,893 ) to the lawyer for the loss of the cigars lost in the "fires".
After he'd cashed it, the company had him arrested for arson.
The North Carolina lawyer was convicted on 24 counts of arson, fined $24,000 and jailed for two years.:yh_loser
