good evening from grumpy towers
well from a spring like day winter has made a comeback with a vengence
and just when you think things can,t get any worse the colition govermenment well mainly the tories have come up with this latest little brainstorm.
A cut in police officer numbers will mean criminals will be more likely to get away with their crimes, an independent think tank says.
Policing Minister Nick Herbert insists it is how police are deployed that matters
The Government plans to cut police funding by 6% this year and 20% over the next four years.
But a comparison of the number of police officers and the number of recorded offences per 100,000 people in European countries showed "a nation with fewer police is more likely to have a higher crime rate", Civitas said.
Policing Minister Nick Herbert insists there is not a "simple link" between police numbers and crime.

what planet does does nick herbert live on ? or is there no crime in the leafy suburbia in which he resides.
how can you cut frontline policing with crime on the increase and the threat of terrorism we need more police on the beat not less.
while officers are tied up with paperwork in the police station burglar bill will be laughing at the law as he runs away into the night with your posessions as the police are too busy too overworked and too understaffed to attend your burglary straight away but a officer may call out to take the details tommorow meanwhile you,ll be issued with a crime number.
this is the reality of todays policing unless you live in an affluent area of expensive private houses where a police officer will attend straight away and im not joking this happens here in nottinghamshire two tier policing.
if you live on a run down council estate like i do the police will issue a crime number and a bobby will turn up in the next day or two
meanwhile your stolen possetions have been sold and the criminal is looking for the next victim.
so where are the next cut to be frontline firemen, ambulance staff nurses, hospials how many more cuts can we take before this becomes dangerous?
already there is talk of turning off street lights to save electricity yet the pen pushing hospital target managers i.e the kwango posts are safe.
surely we need to cut from the top cutting from the white collar pen pushers first not removing the bricks from the bottom of the stack because they,re easier to reach.
dont you know it make the whole pile fall on top of you.
