Iran hangs 12 drug traffickers and kidnappers
TEHRAN (Reuters) – Iran has executed eight convicted drug smugglers and four kidnappers in the past week, state media reported on Saturday.
The country is frequently criticized by human rights groups for maintaining one of the highest execution rates in the world.

Seems to me that this is an issue that our two nations could work together on, rather than looking for issues to have pissing contests over.

I'd say America and Iran have much in common, they both enjoy killing citizens who are either disobedient themselves or encourage disobedience by others.

Perhaps the US should consider hanging a few more drug traffickers?

OF course, if we started on adulterers, we could have a real problem, here.

Well, might as well throw in Starbucks, if you plan to follow THAT logic.
I can see it now. Rounding up all the baristas and sending them to the gallows.

Either put some teeth in the law like the Iranians are doing or legalize drugs. I'd prefer the latter. Altering your mind is the personal choice of the individual concerned.
Our justice system is out of control.

I drink a lot of coffee, but it's never given me the urge to fly planes into buildings.

We should bring our troops home and line them up on our own borders

The real drug problem today, is Meth.
It doesn't have to come across the border.
I think the DEA needs to buy a bunch of those Predators, adapted to seek out meth labs and fire a couple of hellfires into them.

Acc, you're just replacing quoting bits of the constitution with smilies. That doesn't count if you're looking for resolution points.
I'd rather see the bits of the constitution :wah:

:wah: The resolution was to not argue about the constitution. I know myself too well to try to swear off talking about the principles. That's how I have the most fun!
