Here is a video I made with some of my uptempo shakuhachi music. Recently Nara had a national garden show with a lot of cool garden displays. My wife and little one are also here and there in video.

I like the use of the stones and rocks. Makes a nice contrast, IMO.
So, are you planning to garden when you are settled in NY?
