Hi,

I'm new here. We currently live in Nara, Japan but are moving back to the Buffalo area this winter. I just finished my Phd at Osaka University this spring in cultural sociology. I have been studying Japanese gardens for awhile now in Japan and my brother is just finishing up a horticulture program. Next year we plan on opening a garden center and Japanese home decorating store on Grand Island. We have a website up if you are interested in Japanese culture and gardens (Japanese Culture and Art at Grand Island Serene Gardens). There are a few videos I have made showcasing some different Japanese gardens. I am also a professional shakuhachi bamboo flute player, I've added some music from my CDs to the background of the videos.

I hope to learn a lot and contribute here :-6

Hi,

Thanks everybody. Yeah, Japan is probably a bit more popular than Buffalo. But hey, we're proud of our chicken wings! There's even a Buffalo Chicken Wing store in Japan. Niagara Falls is pretty close, to give you a better idea of where things are.
