Qantas Airbus A380 Makes Emergency Landing In Singapore After Engine Fails | World News | Sky News



I'm happy that this plane with all of its passengers landed safely. The airline is putting all the passengers up overnight and booking flights for them home to Sydney tomorrow. I'm glad that none of our Aussie friends were on this flight.

Have a look at Australia's air record .....was all exellent until international operators. We were the envy of the world once.

Wasn't there something said today about Qantas having maintenance done in other countries for the first time? Or did I hear that wrong ?

yep they do it, never used to happen .......it's probably the first of airlines you would want to go on .....but I think it's owned by Arabs now ....not sure. i wouldn't fly quantas anymore as an australian .......sad really. i fly Singapore. can't beat em, they are soo great.

CASA is the australian authority of air safety.. look them up..............if they havent been bought out by the huge international industries I'lll go heeee.Which means our safety record is up the ****

Well it happened again this morning with another Qantas plane, this time a Boeing but still with a Rolls Royce engine. It's not the airline ownership that's the issue but the outsourcing of maintenance and enginerring support off shore.

I actually heard a great saying yesterday.. "If it aint Boeing, I aint going...":)

Scary stuff, Kathy. We came back a couple of days earlier on a 487.

It's the old story of ..."You're too efficiant and too good" ...could we please put a spanner in the works so you look as incompetent as us ?..............Australian air traffic and safety is a fast now......again go to CASA website. It's all crap...........bring back Dick Smith....he's an annoying little barstard but he has a good heart wont take ****.
