I was checking through my 'favourites' or 'bookmarks' list, with a view to removing the unused items, when I came across an interesting game that was played in Forum Garden back in 2007 ! I thought it would be a good idea to repeat it, and have some fun........... It was originally set up by Koan, and I'm sure she wouldn't mind seeing it being played again on FG!

Wheel Of Fortune (Series 2)

Game Rules.

I will post a series of blanks ( _ ) with a category heading. The first person to guess a letter becomes contestant 1. Until that contestant gets a letter wrong, all other potential players must wait. When the person makes a wrong guess, the next person to post a letter is contestant 2. and so on till all the blanks are filled in correctly.

Only one letter may be guessed per post. If the current contestant thinks they know the answer before all the blanks are filled in, then they are allowed to guess, during their next posting turn. If the guess is incorrect, then that contestant has to drop out, and the game moves to the next contestant, and so on till the blanks are all filled in correctly.

The winner then chooses the next category and series of blanks, and continues as host till their selection is guessed correctly. The host displays the wrongly guessed letters each time they post a reply to a guess, and it would be helpful if they would also keep displaying the category in their reply post.

Example :- Category :- Phrase or saying

Answer:- A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush !

There is no prize, just the enjoyment or taking part !

Sorry BB, but as yet, Odie hasn't made a mistake, so she continues choosing letters until she picks one that is not in the hidden 'Singer and Song' . If and when that happens, other people can dive in and pick a letter. The first one to do that is then the new contestant until they pick a wrong letter, and so on. I know to wait and i aint gonna guess,,,, but i dont get the way you have the letters set out? how many letters are there and what is all the ... in between,, do all the dots mean a space or only some or what? Its confusing to me I have the song,, but not the singer and im not sure how many letters are in each word or how many words even they have in their name?

There are a couple of dots between letters, and about 8 dots to separate the words.

I shall have to experiment a little more with doing the dashes for the letters, so they don't make an unbroken line ! I tried typing a dash then one space bar, then another dash and so on, but the buggers became one unbroken line when I copied and pasted the layout ! grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I must admit that I never thought about dividing the words with a /:yh_doh :yh_blush

This is very hard to figure out Gill as I have no idea how many letters are in each word.

perhaps next time may I suggest this way, just the letters appear. (you have to include the slash or it doesn't come out right with spaces.

example: Odie and Garfield-3 words

I'm not quite sure how I managed to do the first format, or why I should have had that problem with spacing between the dashes, but it seemed to just fall into place with ease this time ! I must have had a grey moment at the time ! :yh_rotfl

Thank you Gill. As I don't have the time, I have asked binbag to start the next game for me, he's been sent an email, but may not reply today as he lives in the UK, and its roughy 5-6 hours ahead of me here.

BB should appear tomorrow, as you know he lives in the UK just like you do, it's just 7:40 pm here, but its 11:40 pm there? Everyone playing should have a chance regardless where they live or when that person has the time to post.
