Just remind you that China will replace you as the world new leader soon. This is called fate. So you guys do not need to struggle , whatever you do can not change it. Just be friendly with China and obey China, When China is the world No.1 superpower, you guys can still live happily.

I am an American visiting in Beijing.

Firstly, I enjoy the food. thanks for the hospitality. Love the duck, hate the fish.

Secondly the traffic sucks.

If you keep letting people buy cars, pretty soon, you will not be able to run the world because nobody will be able to get to work, and when they do, by the time they find a place to park, it will be time to go home.

Your problem, SuperPowerChina, is that if I start discussing Kuomintang independence in the Republic of China on Taiwan, or the suppression of the Falun Gong movement, or the Dalai Lama's efforts to retain traditional forms of worship in Tibet, or even possibly these days the Cultural Revolution (what was it Mao said at the time? "China is such a populous nation, it is not as if we cannot do without a few people"?) and the estimated three thousand deaths during the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989, you'll not be able to continue your discussion here because your government will, in its wisdom, put ForumGarden into an Internet black hole to protect you from us.

This is an experimental post to see whether it happens or not.
