Well this sure makes me mad, sorry I don't think these links are linked right here on FG.

It appears our Tar Sands here in Alberta are being compared to the BP mess. Pity the writers of the filthy little article have failed to do their research.

The first link is the news article, the second is the slanderous website slamming Alberta, the third is opinions. I know news is news, but when one decides to make accusations public, they better have their facts straight. This is utterly appauling and if I can do my small bit I will. I am just putting this here in defence of my country, my province, my city and my profession. I wish there was more I could do. This is proof of don't always believe what the news has to tell you...........

Is what they are saying untrue? All I'm really getting from the comments I'm reading seems to be a 'who are you to talk about us' rather then disputing that it is accurate information.

In any case, I don't think Alberta has much to worry about now that reporters are allowed back into our mess in the Gulf.

There has been leaps and bounds made to clean up all oil and gas related fields in this country. The Oil Sands are centuries old and have emitted a natural kind of polution for equally long. We have spend many dollars perfecting as clean as possible extraction processing from the oil sands. The real pity of the slandering article is the failure to see the progress here versus the mess in other countries working the Oil and Gas business.
