Well, saying that word in class today brought the house down, and rampant 7th graders were heard saying it up and down the hallway all day. I'll have to lay low in the classroom tomorrow, I think every teacher in school is tired of hearing it said twenty times a class and will know who first said it..............................:wah:

Testing was finished in March-early, wasn't it? Scarey waiting for the scores, my school has never made it to the passing level in all the years I've been there. Their last science test they bombed, I was shocked, first time this year. And all scores are scrutized by admin on up........

WOW...that's early....

~~~~Same here Chonsi....It's a worry~~~~ We've been working on division forever, and the kids still don't understand it when dealing with division in word problems. Their writing is much, much better, but sometimes they become too overconfident.



We won't get our results until next September

It is Chonsi, but I think you get your results earlier as your kids will be moving on to high school soon. You'll need the results quicker to prepare them for their final tests. Our kids are only 3rd graders, so they've made the tests a bit later on than our intermediate schools.

With Iceland being in the news lately with their volcano, my daughter learned that the capital of Iceland is Reykjavik. She thought that that was hilarious and spend the whole day saying Reykjavik in her Scooby-Doo voice.

I noticed when I was typing on a machine in London that their keyboards are different from ours. So many more interesting little doodads.

Yep, there are a load of different keyboards just in Europe - wreaks havoc with my touchtyping speed, as I go from one to another.

Many of the internet cafes in Sydney use Asian keyboards, for even more fun.

Try pressing and holding down the right hand [Alt Gr] tab then press the [e] whilst you are still holding down the [Alt Gr] key. That's how I get the é
