Someone watches too many jungle movies.
"Idibama, the fire god is angry. We must sacrifice a virgin".
"Gobulama, you know damn well there ain't no virgins here in all of Mumbamumba land".
"But wait. We'll sacrifice our newborns and not yet borns. That should appease the great fire god".
And we're still trying that.

My post was merely poking fun at GMC's thread title, knowing his anti-religeous stand and all. Since I don't have the patience to watch the tons of you tube referrals presented here, I assume you must have.

I stumbled across the video by chance looking at videos of the current Icelandic eruption and it struck my fancy, take from it what you will. The bible is interesting to read if you forget about it supposedly being the word of god. A lot of things do make more sense if you consider how a primitive - as in without our level of scientific knowledge - might describe and interpret what they see.

Just my usual rant and rave. Some of my family live too close to me and others live too far away. I'm in an uproar about that right now. If I hit the lottery tonight I'm moving away and changing my name. I'm pissed at everyone right now.

I have to listen close as I have a bit of trouble with the accent. I have seen Connolly live here in New Zealand and love his humour. He is about as irreverent as my other favorite, George Carlin.
YouTube - George Carlin - Religion is bullshit.
