You can take a bike ride in Chicago. Noisy...but nice. :wah:

I loved my visit to Savannah, AFTR - the squares, and parks, and fountains, and the houses, and trees... just the feel. Thank you!! Reminds me, I'm overdue for a watch of 'Midnight in the Garden'.

Or.....you can visit the Smokey Mountains, drive awhile and walk awhile. Slowly...so you can enjoy all the beauty. ;)

We still don't know where Popop is, do we?

Maybe she's in France, where on 1 May you wear a lily of the valley and go to parades. Instead, take the train from Paris to Brittany where I understand the weather is improving fast.

Maybe she's in England. Go to Stonehenge and celebrate May Day or go to Cornwall like I did one year and drink a glass with the green man.

If she's in Australia, just go to the beach, like the rest of us. Or go see some autumn leaves in the mountains here.

In America, yup.. Savannah, Tybee Island, a walk on the Appalachian trail starting in the Smokeys or in upstate NY. Art Institute in Chicago, or skating in Millennium Park. Hiking in Colorado or that snow should be starting to melt, white water rafting... grin.

In Italy, maybe Lake Como, or a gastronomic voyage in Umbria.

A spot of boating in the Greek Islands?

Iceland - but don't take your clothes off there in public. It's now outlawed.

Go see a bullfight in Spain if they're in season / or picket one, if you prefer.

----------------------------

So many possibilities.. And a whole month to plan in. Sometimes it's nice just to get in your car and when you arrive, you'll know where you were going.
