I would like to suggest introducing a small business forum. I envision it as a place where small business owners could discuss small business stuff like marketing campaigns, networking, helping eachother with common mistakes made when starting out, understanding what in the hell it is google wants. I dont have many details at the moment as Ive only just hatched this egg.

So there it is in a nutshell. A Walnut shell to be exact. Why a walnut? I dont know.

Sounds good Nomad, I can certainly see the use for it.

Do you see it as a sub forum of Wall Street to Main Street specifically for the small business owners here?

It is a good idea.

I am a member of a group here in Ireland called PLATO. This program follows the same kind of idea where a group of small business owners are grouped with a large business. They meet once per month to share business experiences and discuss issues they face.

The purpose of the large company is to be able to provide support and resources to the group for training and so forth. For example if the group wants to know more about employee law, the supporting company may bring in one of the HR specialists to discuss it with the group.

I think your idea is good, a place where business members can go on line to share ideas and concerns. It would be great also to being in some large companies where professional support could be given as well. You never know, it could be really popular.

It's a euphemism Zapata, it's a coded reference to his sexual surrogacy start-up. Have you not seen his advertising video "Helping The Inner Beast Yodel" yet?

I am on linked in but if Im not mistaken in order to successfully generate new links in your designated industry you have to already know the people you wish to link to. Isnt it taboo to solicit links to people you dont know?

Nomad, I am a small business owner also. I'm delving into the same area as you are now, trying to get my website to come up higher on the list etc etc.

Today I talked to a rep from egumball, they are an internet company that you pay to keep your website up at the top of google, yahoo etc. searches.

I then talked to my brother who runs another company here in town and he is using a local guy he knows to do the same thing for 1/4 the cost.

I'm going to try the local guy and see what happens. I think in todays society anyone under the age of 40 rarely picks up the yellow pages anymore, they just go to the internet. Besides those damn yellow page costs are ridiculous and frustrating to deal with their reps without getting screwed.

If you have any info or questions I would be happy to discuss and learn from both of our experiences in handling small business problems.

Its a new world. Im testing the waters with Google Ads and am getting some positive results. I can see the site moving up and Im getting calls from all over the country now. Im also going to do some ad business with dex knows. Im excited about that. Trying to make sense of all of it on my own is killing me slowly.

I think patience is of uber importance.
