Here's a photograph of the ancient and noble sport of Pig Racing

It's a very popular pastime here in my home state of Pennsylvania!

Yes! Losers have been seen being taken to the bacon factory.

There is an interesting method of making sure the pigs all run as fast as they can.

A large pile of pig swill is placed just across the winning line and in the middle of the pile is one cookie.

Only the winning pig gets to eat the cookie and as all pigs love cookies they run as fast as they can to be first across the line.

The runners-up have to make do with the swill.

The current champion is named Bacon Bunny and other notables are Red Rasher, Pork Pie and Streaky Ham.

We're easily amused here in PA!
