PERUGIA, Italy – Amanda Knox told The Associated Press from her jail cell Sunday that she is scared but hopeful eight days after an Italian court sentenced her to 26 years in prison for the murder of her British roommate.

"I am scared because I don't know what is going on," the 22-year-old American student said during a 10-minute visit by two Italian lawmakers, prison officials and a pair of reporters in Capanne prison on the outskirts of Perugia.

Knox has been jailed for two years since she was arrested a few days after the slaying of Meredith Kercher in the house the two students shared in this Umbrian university town.

Aw, poor baby. She wasn't scared when she slit Meridith's throat but now that she's in a cell that also includes a private bathroom with shower, toilet and bidet she is scared :mad

There was a minefield of Imfo put forward by the defence that was not published in the papers including chemical and organic. The defence destroyed the prosecucations case throughout but the real crux was that no DNA of Amanda Knox was found on the body, the weapon or anywhere. There was DNA and fingerprints even inside the womans Vagina that have never been identified. The Italian police chief who presented the case for the prosecution has a string of fraud and corruption allegations against him prior to this case. She was set up by the Italian Police and prosecuters and will be aquited on appeal.

She sure is a tough cookie, I didn't really know much about the case and just googled.......
