Good grief my little cuddly jock strap.... You have posted a Daily Mail link for one and for two, I wouldn't have had you down for one interested in the monotomy of a celeb lifestyle. Have you been putting whiskey in your porridge again.? :D

I trawl headlines and just follow links that catch my eye. I wouldn't not read a link just because it was the daily mail.

How Cameron cosied up to Murdoch & Son - UK Politics, UK - The Independent

Bet you if the tories get in it will be bye bye BBC. Murdoch had been trying to do away with the competition for years. Maggie let him take over satellite broadcasting maybe boy david willl let him get terrestrial as well.

they're all shits aren't they.:-5

Never mind have a read of this

"Yesterday, Mandelson's people claimed he told her that she and her colleagues were "chumps". Her version of the same conversation had Mandelson using a noun that sounds similar, but is great deal more vulgar. "

Love It :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl But I'm sure the word he meant was 'celt' .

Just goes to show the true colours of the slimey back stabbing Tory bastards doesn't It.?

I'll google your strange celtic newspaper.

I'm hoping the internet will make the media tycoon steadily less powerful. Murdoch's dad wasn't so bad as far as I know, but I resent the son of a rich foreigner using his father's achievement to influence the political agenda of this country. As far as I am aware, Murdoch is Aussie-born and a US citizen. By what right does he influence our politics?

I can vote for the PM and the Head of State is the Queen by long and successful tradition. All I can do with Murdoch is boycott his media filth. Don't have Sky and enjoy telling the salesmen why.:D

With the Freeview service about to go HD in the near future... we don't need It anyway. As for Ca-moron sucking up to him, It shows the true nature of the slimey toad.

Don't know about you lot but I am happy to pay for the bbc. I do not want a situation where private companies control all the media and everything is commercialised. The only reason we have half decent news coverage in this country is because it has to compete with the bbc.

If it was abolished I feel that they would have to put something half decent on and get rid of the tossers like Johnathon Ross and that revolting Russell Brand.

It's gets slagged off from both sides. They are obliged to be unbiased in their reporting sometimes reporting the way things are looks like criticism. Thatcher hated them as well so do new labour. looks like Cameron will do away with it.

The BBC is not without its faults, but it is one of the things that does us proud internationally. I am very sad to see support of the overseas broadcasting is under threat. Often these broadcasts are the only available unbiased news source the region can receive.

It's when you look at who is lobbying and complaining about the BBC and the licence fee they don't exactly have an interest in providing decent unbiased broadcasting as a priority the main complaint seems to be they could make more money without the BBC. Imagine broadcasting monopolised by companies like sky.
