I don't know about you but....Boy OL Boy, I would love to more of these decisions laid down.





LEESBURG, Va. (AP) - A Virginia judge sentenced a spammer to nine years in prison Friday in the nation's first felony prosecution for sending junk e-mail, though the sentence was postponed while the case is appealed.





Loudoun County Circuit Judge Thomas Horne said that because the law targeting bulk e-mail distribution is new and raises constitutional questions, it was appropriate to defer the prison time until appeals courts rule. ...........

As I was reading the article I started feeling sorry for the guy since the law is new and he was likely not aware of it. I hate spam but, sheesh, nine years? Then I read he was using aliases and peddling porn among other things and made $750,000/month! Hard to feel sorry for him now.

Maybe this is the first step into slowing down spam on the internet.

It's about time. I agree I hope they continue to sentence these scum.. They deserve every year they are sentenced to serve.. :yh_dance :yh_dance

From the article..."infringing on free speech" ??? This guy has the right to send porn emails to my inbox as part of his right to free speech?? I don't think so! GRRRRRRRR
