Did anyone of you tried having penfriends or e-pals?

Like for learning about other cultures' or various things.

And how did they turn out to be?

Well I have tried a lot. And it's very difficult to find a good e-pal.

They generally do Hi and Bye sandwitched by some one or two boring obvious questions.

Had a few e-mail pals. Both were women because men don't wanna email each other much. The first one kept sending me "gifts". Even after I told her to stop. All sorts of stuff, even money. I hate that. She was fixin' to come for a visit. I had to be the "bad guy" and tell her to get lost.

My second one pretty much followed suit. No more e-pals for me.

My advice is, be careful.

Oh gosh when I was in my early 20's I had about 50 pen pals world wide. It was facinating. I have long since stopped because postage from this country to anywhere because crazy expensive.

I tried epals but they just don't seem to stick around and yes the correspondence seems lacking.

I do miss the days of letters coming in the mail filled with friendship books and postcards.

OMG, 50 penpals!

You must know quite a lots of things.

And the postman would have been more familiar with your place than his/her own home. :yh_rotfl

Well, is there anybody here looking for one?

No, I am not advertising myself. I just want to know if you people, at this age find those types of thing fascinating.

Okay, though I would like to have one. :-4
