I've heard a lot of sad songs but does anyone have a song that would be perfect for a break up? Hypothetically of course.

this should do it ,make them listen to it over and over ,and if you point and sing the chorus in a nasty voice for added effect you are on to a winner:):)

I Don't know Why You Say Goodbye - I Say Hello.. Sir Paul
meaning your going - or he's going & keep going.. hypothetical of course..
There's plenty to list
I will survive
Last Time I Saw Him - this is on my I-Pod, love it
last time I saw him he sweet little kissed my lips
last time I saw him, I knew he'd be back for more of this - - -
I knew he hated leaving, but he had to set us up
I gave him money - I know I invested very well.. !!!!!!
Momma doesn't like him - but he loves I can tell....?????
I suppose that depends if your male or female - I didn't bother to check..
separating songs don't have to be gloom - Hypothetical jab songs get the message across..
good luck
Patsy

First of all... Air Supply? The name isn't exactly sononymous with breakups... and besides they're FAR too wussy! :yh_rotfl
What kind of breakup songs are you looking for? Are you seeking that typical country-western, tear in your beer stuff or I hope that two-timin' ***** DIES!!! music?

Sometimes that's what works for folks... just don't KILL YOURSELF, though, Odie!!! :p
Personally, I'm not into all of that Emo crap... I'm usually in a mood to KICK SOME FRICKIN' ASS!!! :wah:
The other day I was rockin' out to this song with my Fender Strat... no, I wasn't experiencing a break-up... just got into the mood and it was playin' so I grabbed my Strat, plugged in and CRANKED IT! Fleetwood Mac's (FLEET!) You Can Go Your Own Way ... that guitar solo is simple, but SO powerfully loaded with emotion! I just love it at the end of the second solo where the muffled harmonics kick in and it sounds like kick starting a ****in' Harley! Hell YEAH!!! :guitarist

Ani DiFranco-- Outta' Me, Onto You
J Geils Band-- Love Stinks
The Police-- Can't Stand Losing You
Late seventies punk Police.
Evanescence-- Call Me When You're Sober
The title says it all... :wah:
Greg Kihn-- The Breakup Song (They Don't Write 'Em Like That Anymore)
Uh, uh, uh, uh-uh-uh-uh, uh... Sounds more like angry make-up sex to me, but...
Green Day-- Good Riddance
Black Eyed Peas - Shut Up!
Garth Brooks - I've Got Friends in Low Places
On the live version of this song there's the very popular third verse that just encourages one to perform a virtual, two-handed, bird flip and/or "shoot the moon".
