Why ???

Having had many rescue dogs in my life and the strange habits they came with, my Puppy Rosie has left me perplexed.
I have had dogs eat my shed, remove furnature from the house, have a fear of cyclists etc etc.
Rosie has decided that every snail that exists in our garden, needs warmth and shelter. It started some weeks back where the odd snail was found crawling up the hall walls. Now she is scouring the garden for them and bringing them in side the house in herds. Not only is it revolting if you don't spot one in time and tread on it bare-foot but it's very unhygenic. All snails are delivered in side the house intact and she very tenderly places them on the floor in the lounge and then looks at them with ears cocked.
She has toys, she has treats and we play with her a great deal.
There are other things in the garden she could pick on but it's just snails. She did go through a brief period of bringing twigs in but that seems to have passed.

Yep she is obviously following in your footsteps:wah: try training her like you would to make her stay etc,,, make a game of it ,, a training game,,, so get her to pick up the snail and take it to a place you pick ,,, make it the same place every time ,, outside of course, and giving her a treat when she gets it right:D

Sounds like she has a strong retriever line in her. I'd have never thought of Kaz's idea. That's a gem!

Very very true :yh_rotfl
She is actually in soooooooooo much trouble with Pete right now.
He's been decorating and a few days ago he put up new white venetian blinds in our lounge. It does make it look rather like a Doctors waiting room. They have a long rod at the sides of them that you twiddle to open the slats and close them. They had only been up one day and she chewed up one of these rods. He had to take every bit and glue them back together. :wah:

Our Patterdale would actively seek them out and eat them. She knew exactly where to bury her head to get the juiciest
