Valkyrie

Nomads Rating: 3 popcorn kernels

I was eager to see this film and finally got around to it.

The story is based on actual events that took place during Hitlers tenure as Fuhrer.

A group of military officers political figures and civic leaders some of which had access to his headquarters, bunker and personal residence plotted and attempted Hitlers assasination.

I wanted to really like this one and I did but the flaws were hard to ignore.

Ill let you decide for yourselves.

All in all it was a film worth watching.

It was interesting but I thought Cruise was a bad choice for Von Stauffenberg who was tall and aristocratic. Also, I really prefer Germans with German accents not British.

Thats what I had trouble with. Also there was some element missing, something I cant quite put my finger on. Still I enjoyed the film.

Even though I don't like Cruise I watched the movie anyway, just for it's entertainment value. It was that, entertaining.

I agree completely,Lon.

If the movie gossip is to be believed,Cruise was the one who didn't want to try and use a German accent, though I'm sure all the talented British actors in the movie would have had no problems whatsoever.
