Hi a new hello to you all! Im Krupa and i work with Send A Cow which is a charity based in Bath. Send a Cow runs sustainable agricultural programmes in nine countries in Africa to help small-scale farmers overcome poverty and malnutrition its a great cause. I'm excited to have joined in and hope to have lots of conversations with you all...

Welcome Sendacow. That sounds like a great program. The old saying goes, If you give a man a fish he will eat for a day, if you teach him how to fish he will never go hungry.

Hi there!
My daughter is in 4h here in the united states and that sounds just like the program they fund raise for every year..
The kids can actually 'buy' partial animals for the more expensive ones so that they can spread it around and help more. Other groups do the same and the collective kids contributions supply chickens, sheep, beef and milking cows and even some stranger farm animals that they will probably never see here on the farms in illinois.
but these kids can give lots of animals for a very cheap price and help out other farmers around the world.
