I suppose getting slaughtered is as much a matter of freewill as wearing 6 inch heels

Or eating yourself sick. However, could we please start with the drunks, make them pay for treatment, and see how it flows from there :wah:

Did you know that one or two places around the country have piloted a scheme where the police are giving drunk women 'flip-flops' so they can weave their way home in safety

:wah:
I find it bizarre that no one can see further than the end of their noses these days, and that's in every part of their lives. People have no foresight whatsoever and take no responsibility for whatever happens to them. That's scary!

One thing that has always annoyed me is reckless numbnuts who go climbing up mountains in inappropriate clothing and no experience costing the RAF and rescuers thousands in going up to help them.
I suppose the theory behind this proposal is that having your stomach pumped or cleaned up by the NHS after getting into a brawl in a bar, is self inflicted. I think it comes down again to accountability and i agree that every one should be accountable for what happens to them. It's very easy in this country as if you do want to climb a mountain in flip flops or have your stomach pumped after binge drinking, the good old NHS and government will pick the tab up for you. I'm all for bringing in accountability into this country.

Idiotic ,self inflicted yes two ways of describing my SIL.
She was angry that her GP said he would not be treating her as a priority if she got broncitus again. The reason ..she smokes betwen 80 and 100 ciggies a day!
She is only 57 cannot walk 100yards without stopping or up one flight of stairs without coughing.
She has been admitted to hospital 3 times as an emergancy. The last time she only just made it an ambulence had to give her oxygen en-route and she then spent a week in an oxygen tent.
Then she had a stop smoking nurse help her with nicotine plasters, fake ciggie ect ect and was refered for some kind of out patient clinic. This was all provided by the NHS but she took no notice and returned to her habit.
Now she is annoyed because her GP has said her illness is self inflicted and he will not bump other people who are ill through no fault of their own in order to come out to her.
True, the NHS should provide care for all but as Oscar points out the numbnuts of Britain are costing the country thouands each time they go off on one of their stupid binges. They should be held accountable for thier actions.
