This is one of many reports today in the newspapers.

To me, it smacks of 'Jamie Bulger'.

People just do not want to believe how we have desensitized our kids with excess violence on TV and movies and especially these days with video games.

Also, the government, social workers, and socialists have removed all discipline from schools and homes so kids have no fear of any consequences anymore.

They are products of the society we are creating.

They are products of the society we are creating. As you know.... we had it for years in our village. We'd speak regually to the police but some of the officers attitudes were 'oh they're just kids'. Other officers would tell us off the record what they would dearly love to do to them. I remember telling one of the senior officers involved with me that i was in no doubt that one of the youths involved in my trial would go on to actually hurt some-one. A year later and guess what???

I think the early warning signs are ignored in kids these days because as you said, no-one can discipline them or hold them accountable. Noooooo Labour has systematically stripped parents, schools, police and authorities of any rights leaving some them 'feral' in every sense of the word. Now, Noooooo Labour want to make it a crime for just shouting at your kids. For some kids, it leaves them quite rightfully with the attitude that they really can do what the hell they like and who can blame them?

Even the schools are dead against excluding troublesome pupils or flagging up the problem kids for fear of a bad report from OFSTED.

We can only blame the parents for allowing kids to watch these games such as 'Grand theft auto'.

Well I for one don't believe they should have taken disipline outta the schools over here. They give them a "talking too" which don't do shyte. I'll tell ya, the cops would be at my door if they knew how we disipline our kids! Have had the kids saying "I'm calling 911 on you mom/dad".....yeah, go ahead...heres the phone....oh and by the way, you'll be breaking up the family and you will all end up in foster fams, etc. Always works:sneaky:. You (the kid) did something incredibly rude or stupid...you pay the consequences!:-5

I agree with you both tragic and terrible that kids can hold a town hostage like this and get away with it. :(

Or is it just Great Britain that it happens in? We are seeing it more and more here. One of the things i believe contributes is the money spent on children in the way of designer clothes and technology here. I just bought my teenage nephew a new hoodie and the palaver!!!!

It had to be designer label, the right colour, the right hood etc etc or he wouldn't wear it. Like me, you want to give them the best but expensive trainers and expensive mobile phone is likely to see them getting mugged.

Yes and No if that makes sense our neighborhoods are different and patrolled constantly. Sure kids hang out but not for long. We have gangs but they are under police watch all the time. If they travel to another neighborhood they stand out like a sore thumb. We are more densely populated so the ability to do this without being noticed is rare.
