The Lions is always an exciting team, so yes I do.

But it is still early in our Rugby season, and some of our super 14 players have me very nervous:-3

Some of your players have YOU nervous....? I reckon you'll give us a real smacking at the moment! Nonetheless, a Lions tour is the most amazing Rugby you'll ever watch, from the point of view of someone who comes from one of the representing nations: England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales all trying to play together.... the ongoing miracle remains that every game there isn't a punch-up going on amongst the Lions' nations while their bemused opponents watch...

...on second thoughts, that does describe a lot of Lions' tours!

:yh_rotfl.....I can just picture the scene.

But I am not so sure about the smacking thing, the Boks peaked (fortunately) during the World Cup and has not been the as good thereafter, methinks. Also, we did not renew the contract of the coach that won the cup for us...crazy.

We will see.

So what does it look like out of your window just now? Asking as someone who lives on the edge of London and is watching the blossom emerge on his two trees at the moment?

My desk stands by a biggish window and I overlook a glorious landscape. It is Autumn now but even in Summer our grasslands appear straw colour or a very light green. The maize fields are turning a grayish brown now as it ends the cycle before drying out for harvesting. So a symphony of yellow and brown, autumn colours.

Even our green trees are more pastel like, so very little harsh colours here.

I remember once when I was homesick in a pub in Bristol, I was complaining about wanting to see yellow grass again. The whole pub claimed not only did I have a lousy accent (I am not English speaking), I was also drunk!

Sounds beautiful! Never been to SA, but I did spend time in Aussie many years ago, and beautiful as it was, after a time I really missed our million shades of green, so I know where you are coming from. There's no place like home (to coin a phrase :wah:).

Hope you enjoy it here in the ForumGarden, where the grass is any colour you want it to be!

Ah yes, all the colours of green one can think of and those majestic trees! Doubtless because you guys get so much rain. We do not expect to see any rain again before middle Spring (October). Any rain from now on would be a bonus.

Did you follow the Seven's Rugby? I am so pleased with our guys. Those men are fit! I think that was probably the big difference between us and Kenya as the final was ten minutes a side and not seven.

No, don't really follow 7s, I support Leicester Tigers, where traditionally the pack is King.

Though we're playing more open Rugby these days, and the maul is back! Yaay!
